Happy Labor Day!

Labor Day became an official US holiday in 1894. Always occurring on the first Monday in September, Labor Day was first described as a day to honor those “who from rude nature have delved and carved all the grandeur we behold.” In short…the American worker.

We, here at Calton Nutrition, want to say THANK YOU and pay HONOR to the men and women who get up each and every day and work hard to improve our great nation. From our military, public officials, teachers, entrepreneurs, scientists, inventors, health professionals, construction workers, police, and firemen to our students, stay at home parents, grocery store clerks and coffee shop baristas, each and every hard working person is essential to improving our quality of life and moving our country forward.

But there is another side of Labor Day too. An aspect that perhaps wasn’t initially intended by the creators of this holiday, but one we think is equally important. Labor Day is also an opportunity for all of us to give ourselves a pat on the back for all the hard work we do in other areas of our lives. Specifically all the time and effort you put into improving your health and accomplishing your personal goals and dreams – no matter what they are.

Let’s face it, it’s one thing to dream about being healthy or accomplishing a life long goal, and it’s a completely different thing to actually do it. Anyone who has accomplished anything in their live knows that it takes desire, drive, discipline and determination, day in and day out, to make your goals a reality. The bottom line is, achieving and maintaining extraordinary health is hard work; anyone who tells you differently is lying. Yes, there are tools that can help to make your journey easier and techniques that can make your efforts more productive, but in the end without labor, true labor, the kind of labor that most people run away from, most dreams, include that of becoming truly healthy, never come true.

We also recognize that it often takes a team effort to achieve our goals. So, this labor day we want to team up with you and help to support your health goals. This year we are going to do something we have never done before. We call it the Labor Day Gift Card Giveaway! Based on the price of your purchase we will give you a gift card to use on a future purchase*.
